During their month-long stay, Byrdcliffe's Artists in Residence create paintings, sculptures, videos, novels, poetry, plays, concertos – and meals. Residents are responsible for their own food, and the large communal kitchen is Byrdciffe’s social hub; residents often pool their larders and collaborate on meals. There have been innumerable extraordinary and memorable meals on the Villetta porch over the years, and the house journals have become the depository of many delicious, artful recipes.
