2017 Voice Class Schedule

The Woodstock Community Choir meets at Byrdcliffe’s Kleinert/James Center for the Arts, 36 Tinker Street, Woodstock. The Choir is directed by mezzo-soprano Maria Todaro, Executive Director of the Phoenicia Festival of the Voice. You are welcome to just show up on the dates listed below, but if you have questions about the choir, please email: m.todaro@phoeniciavoicefest.com. In 2017, the choir is meeting on the following Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00pm:
April 19, May 17, June 7, June 14, June 21, July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26, October 18, November 15, December 20
CHOIR DOES NOT MEET IN AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER.

Woodstock Community Choir: all levels, all ages – Maria Todaro
Wednesdays, 2017, 6:00 – 8:00 pm (see list of Wednesday choir classes above)
Price for class: FREE – donations are happily accepted
Description: Learn the basics of vocal technique, music reading, repertoire, style and music history while having great fun singing together. No audition required – this is a program open to all! Donations are happily accepted but not mandatory!

Maria Todaro: From Sicily to San Antonio, mezzo soprano and actress Maria Todaro has thrilled audiences on three continents with her masterful musicianship and gifted rich voice. A full time resident of Phoenicia, she serves as General Manager and Co-Founder of the highly successful “Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice”. Despite a demanding performance and recording schedule, she enjoys a rigorous teaching schedule. A director on the board of the Shandaken Theatrical Society, she is active in several businesses and local service organizations in the Catskills community of Phoenicia.
