Byrdcliffe will be holding an ARTIST SPOTLIGHT for jewelry designers and creators Ron Zukor and Liz Horn on Saturday, August 17, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Byrdcliffe Shop on 36 Tinker Street in Woodstock, NY. The Artist Spotlight will focus on Ron’s and Liz’s work, and everybody will be able to meet them at the Byrdcliffe Shop and find out more about the skills and fine artistry involved in their intricate and beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
Liz Horn and Ron Zukor craft jewelry of silver and gold, often using semi-precious and precious stones, from agates to diamonds. They also use objects that interest them in their jewelry. Liz and Ron frequently use fossils or sea shells cut to expose their beautiful internal structures which can be enhanced with silver or gold. Interesting glass or ceramic antiques are also a part of the vocabulary of their work. Beautiful and interestingly shaped pearls hold a special allure. With great care they create one-of-a-kind pieces using hand tools. As a result each piece has its own personality. Their love for natural objects and stones has led them to collect a trove of enchanting objects. These beautiful pieces ignite Liz and Ron’s creativity and inspire ideas for their designs. Perhaps you would like to see some of their collection of objects. They might inspire you too. Let Liz and Ron know if you want to work with them to create something special.
