Sharyn Alexander is a fine artist creating one of a kind porcelain jewelry and stoneware wall sculptures. Sharyn attended New York State College of Art and Design at Alfred University where she studied Ceramics and Psychology. She is currently facilitating Arts for Healing programs throughout Dutchess and Orange County. “My work is an inquiry”, says Sharyn Alexander. “Each piece I create embodies a multitude of interpretations. The images are from places and moments in time undefined. As I create, time seems to stop. My mind becomes still. It is from this place my work emerges. Primitive, Tribal, Archeological, Natural. My creative process is a journey. It is my hope that this journey continues long after the work leaves my studio.” Sharyn Alexander lives in Bearsville, NY. She has exhibited work locally and nationally for the last 30 years.
