Byrdcliffe Master

We are pleased to announce that the Byrdcliffe Artists In Residency Program has received a second grant to continue the Byrdcliffe Master Artist Program. The Byrdcliffe Master for 2008 is Jake Berthot. Each Fellow will have access to Jake for critiques, career opportunities discussions and share insight and guidance during a four week residency. A panel of distinguished artists will choose five Pollock-Krasner Fellows. Last year's jurors were painters Joan Snyder and Donald Elder. Fellows are selected for the quality, originality and professionalism of their work.

The Artist In Residence Program

Funded by a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation

  • The Pollock-Krasner Fellowship is open to all working artists
  • Five Fellows will be chosen and all will receive a residency for the month of July 1-July 27 only. (Session II)
  • Each Fellow will receive a $500 award and pay no tuition. (You must pay the application fee of $35.)
  • Each applicant must fill in the Byrdcliffe AIR application as well and include your statement below with the application form.

An artist may not receive a Pollock-Krasner Fellowship more than once.
