Opening Saturday, July 19 at the Kleinert/James Center for the Arts, BASH An Exhibition in Two Parts will feature recent works by emerging and internationally recognized contemporary artists, including Laurie Anderson, Ulla von Brandenburg, Olaf Breuning, Anetta Mona Chişa & Lucia Tkáčová, Heather Cook, John Giorno, William Hunt, Nick Mauss, Josephine Meckseper, Dieter Meier, Marilyn Minter, Wangechi Mutu, David Noonan, Mai-Thu Perret, Ugo Rondinone, Joss Smith, Mickalene Thomas, Rirkrit Tiravanija, and Robert Wilson.

The exhibition will feature painting, sculpture, drawing, fabric art, photography, video, language art, and collage by over a dozen artists from eight countries. This exhibition demonstrates the forward-thinking nature of Byrdcliffe’s programming, and its commitment to the interdisciplinary vision of the original Art Colony’s founders while promoting incisive discourse in the arena of contemporary visual culture.

BASH An Exhibition in Two Parts is curated by Daniel Mason. Mason will give a tour of the exhibition on Saturday, July 19, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Kleinert/James. Reception to follow 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Admission free.
