For the first 13 episodes\, Jules set the stage for intimate and raw performances that became a cultural phenomenon. \nED SANDERS \nEd Sanders is an American poet\, singer\, activist\, and countercultural icon best known as the co-founder of the 1960s underground folk-rock band The Fugs who blended folk\, rock\, and political satire\, pioneering cheeky\, provocative songs that challenged 1960s social norms. He operated the Peace Eye Bookstore in New York City’s East Village hub\, which served as a gathering place for Beat poets and radicals. Ed Sanders in Woodstock\, New York\, where he has spent decades publishing the local Woodstock Journal newspaper alongside his wife\, Miriam.
