CROSSING OVER – an exhibition featuring the sculptures, paintings, and prints of the late feminist artist Nancy Azara (1930-2024), and encaustic paintings by her widow, Darla Bjork. Based in New York City and Woodstock, NY, both artists’ works have been characterized by expressive, gestural use of materials and iconic imagery. Nancy Azara curated numerous exhibitions for Byrdcliffe, including Lily: Loosely Seen (2003), Paths: Real and Imagined (2007), Eccentric Portraits (2011), and HAND/MADE: The Digital Age and The Industrial Revolution (2015). Work will be on exhibit Saturday, September 20, 2025 thru Sunday, October 19, 2025. A public reception will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 4-6 PM.
