Byrdcliffe Theater

The Byrdcliffe Theater, originally conceived as an art school and library, is an original Byrdcliffe Arts Colony structure. The intimate performance space seats 100 people, with 60 movable seats at stage level and 40 seats in the balcony. The lobby, featuring a large, mid-twentieth century mural painted by artist Arthur Zaidenburg, is the perfect location for a dramatic reception. The adjoining stone terrace provides a pleasant outdoor gathering space.  In its one-hundred-year history, the theater has hosted many dance, drama, opera, and other musical performances.

The newly rehabilitated Theater is a multi-functional venue with added live broadcasting and streaming capabilities worldwide. This venue can host a variety of artistic productions and events to the community at large and businesses on a year-round basis.
