Celebrate Byrdcliffe is our annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting this unique and vital cultural resource. The 2026 event is particularly significant as we gear up for our 125th milestone and reflect on Byrdcliffe’s impact on the art, culture, and community of the Hudson Valley and beyond.
Step inside White Pines, the original home of Byrdcliffe’s founders, Ralph and Jane Whitehead, and discover how this 1902 utopian Arts and Crafts colony began.
Celebrate the creative work of our artists-in-residence. With map in hand, meet the artists, see their studios, and experience work in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, writing, sound, and more, all amidst Byrdcliffe’s historic campus nestled in the Catskill mountains. Some artist woks will be available for sale.
A satirical and poetic 15 song cycle celebrating and satirizing the unique bohemian culture of Woodstock, New York. Lyrics by Ed Sanders with music by Jules Shear.
Spanning four generations, the exhibition brings together works by Milton Avery and Sally Michel Avery, their daughter March Avery, her husband Philip G. Cavanaugh, their son Sean Cavanaugh, and his child Delilah Cavanaugh. For the first time, the public will have the opportunity to experience an intimate look at the art created in Woodstock by the Avery family — a body of work deeply rooted in American modernism.
NOTE: This event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a date in Spring 2027 TBD. If you purchased tickets, they will be honored on this new date. If you would prefer a refund, please contact us at info@woodstockguild.org
Byrdcliffe presents Robin The Hammer & friends at the Byrdcliffe Theater - a highly original night of blues and tunes ranging from solo country blues to full band extravaganza with special guest appearances.
When civilization collapses, seven wildly different survivors gather for a very particular dinner: Edgar has decided this will be his last meal before he dies on his own terms, with the help of a death doula. But outside, the dead are rising—and inside, everyone has an opinion about how the living should live, die, and be saved. Love, democracy and zombies collide in this Grand Guignol staged reading, followed by a Zombie Dress Parade and an apocalyptic good time.
Obie Award winner Chris Wells and longtime collaborator Jeremy Bass perform an evening of original songs that are theatrical, wild, funny and filled with human tenderness. Story Songs offers an evening of theatrical, wild, and deeply narrative-driven music. Having written songs and collaborated across genres for more than 20 years, singer Chris Wells and guitarist Jeremy Bass draw from their extensive back-catalog alongside brand-new original compositions.
Byrdcliffe is pleased to welcome back musician Tim Moore for one night only. Moore's sold-out 2025 concert was a highlight of Woodstock’s summer music season, and this year the Woodstock resident returns with a new mix of songs.
