The Fugs music combined rock and roll, humor, and protest that documented the 1960s underground scene and the American counterculture of that decade. Byrdcliffe is thrilled to welcome The Fugs to the historic Byrdcliffe Barn in Woodstock for two nights.
The documentary features archival footage and interviews with Ed Sanders, Aline & R. Crumb, Lenny Kaye, Penny Arcade, Jeffrey Lewis and more to tell the story of NYC’s original punks. A conversation with director Chuck Smith and Ed Sanders will follow the screening.
